Apple Inc. plans to open a new store in Haywood Mall.

“We are excited to announce our latest Apple Store at the Haywood Mall in Greenville, South Carolina,” Apple said in a statement for jobs posted on Monster.com. “We are currently accepting applications for all open positions.”

Apple is seeking full-time and part-time employees, including sales associates, managers, inventory specialists and technicians.

Currently the closest location to the Upstate is in Charlotte, N.C. However, Patrick Hyde operates iPlace at 550 South Main St. in Greenville, an Apple authorized reseller and service provider.

According to sources, the store will open this summer where The Children’s Place is currently located in Haywood Mall. The specialty retailer of children’s merchandise will move into the former Hallmark store before it moves to its permanent location at the old Eddie Bauer location.
