Scott Frierson, who resigned for unspecified reasons in September as the president of Carolina First bank, will become an independent business advisor at J.Freeman & Associates, Inc., an insurance and investment firm in Greenville.
Frierson, pictured, will assist clients with banking matters and work to develop relations with financial partners, J.Freeman announced today.
J.Freeman & Associates offers insurance and investment products for businesses, families and individuals. The firm offers commercial coverage, employee group benefits and life/health/disability plans for businesses. J.Freeman also provides corporate and individual investment services and specialized plans for company executives.
Frierson had been president of Carolina First since June 2008 and was with the bank’s parent company, The South Financial Group, since 1988. The bank said he resigned for personal reasons but would not elaborate.
The South Financial Group has not announced Frierson’s successor.
