The city of Greenville has developed a new Web site called Greenville Prospector to market available commercial properties located in the city.
The intent of Greenville Prospector is to provide additional exposure for available office, retail, restaurant and industrial properties and to make the site selection process easier for those interested in opening a new business or relocating a business to the city of Greenville.
The interactive Web site allows the user to search for available buildings and/or land using criteria such as properties for sale, for lease or both; size; location; sale price or lease rate; broker and type of use. Greenville Prospector also features aerial photo mapping of selected sites, sketching tools and other tools for linear and area measurement.
Demographic reports can be generated using either a specified radius or drive time area around selected sites. All maps and reports generated by the site can be easily printed.
Development of the site was made possible through a cooperative effort by the city of Greenville and the Appalachian Council of Governments, which provided the programming and computer support.
City staff will work with the local brokerage community to maintain the data for the site to ensure that the list of properties is current. For more information about Greenville Prospector, visit www.greenvilleprospector.com.
