The Greenville-based location of AIT Worldwide Logistics Inc., a transportation and logistics provider, has opened an additional station in Charlotte, N.C. The 3,000-square-foot warehouse facility better serves the business requirements of AIT’s customers in South Carolina, particularly in the Charlotte market, officials said.

“We have created an opportunity to both reach and service limitless clients and we’re very excited to grow in this progressive market,” said Janine Antonio, an independent contractor of AIT.

As a woman-owned business certified by the Women Business Enterprise, AIT Greenville officially opened its doors in March 2003. With more than 25 years in the freight forwarding business, Antonio has had a local business presence in Greenville since 1999.

Specializing in the automotive and apparel sector, AIT Greenville also handles deliveries for medical equipment and various other commodities and vertical markets.

“This is a fantastic step for us,” Antonio said. “We look forward to serving you from Charlotte.”
