The new Tractor Supply store in Laurens will hold its grand opening Saturday. The location is Tractor Supply Co.’s 22nd store in South Carolina.
The store employs 14 people. The facility has 24,726 square feet, including sales floor and support service space.
“Tractor Supply Company is a great fit for the local community of equine, cattle and hobby farms because of our large selection of agricultural items,” said Johnathan Gadsden, store manager. “We are so glad to be here for Laurens and the surrounding areas. We’ve already welcomed customers from Greenville and Simpsonville, and we look forward to serving many more of our neighbors.”
A ribbon cutting will be held at 10 a.m. featuring Mayor Sharon Brownlee. Thursday through Sunday, customers will receive 10% off their first purchase, up to $100, and can enter to win prizes including a 42-inch riding lawn mower.
On Saturday, Big Oaks Farm will bring a petting zoo of pigs, goats, donkeys and other rescued animals. The store will also host a number of other local groups from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
