Founded in 1974, Owens Lawn and Garden, a staple in the Union community, has been sold to Jeff and Judy Dellinger. VR Mergers & Acqusitions Corp.’s Charlotte, N.C., office completed the sales transaction.
The lawn and garden equipment distributor sells an array of mowers, chain saws, generators, pressure washers, four wheelers and more. Brands sold at Owens Lawn and Garden include Eton, Grasshopper, Gravely, Husqvarna and Stihl.
Details regarding the transaction were not disclosed.
"The outdoor power equipment industry is one that is very much a niche market and I was told by other brokers it could take years to sell,” said Bryan Pilkington, seller of Owens Lawn and Garden. “I was very impressed that within weeks VR Charlotte had an offer."
Brad Offerdahl, president of VR Mergers & Acquisitions Charlotte, facilitated all phases of the transaction, from the initial analysis through closing.
