Greenville’s Main Street office district continues to attract new tenants.

Windsor/Aughtry Co. signed long-term leases with Scott & Stringfellow and Aon Risk Solutions to occupy space in the new Main at Broad development in downtown Greenville.

Scott & Stringfellow, a regional brokerage and investment banking firm, will occupy 7,230 square feet of office space on the fourth floor. Aon Risk Solutions, a global provider of risk management services, insurance and reinsurance brokerage, and human capital consulting, will occupy 3,213 square feet of space on the second floor.

Main at BroadAs with all Main at Broad tenants, Scott & Stringfellow and Aon Risk Solutions will have access to other building amenities, including a third-floor conference room, which is fully equipped with an audio visual package of flat screen televisions, surround-sound stereo, and a high-definition, worldwide video conferencing system. The 1,000 square-foot conference room can seat up to 75 guests for meetings, luncheons or special events. Just off the conference room is a 1,000 square-foot porch overlooking Greenville’s Main Street.

Jim Yarbrough, First Vice President at Scott & Stringfellow’s Greenville office, said the firm was attracted to Main at Broad for the development’s first-class property and location.

“I think it is a great location and we are looking forward to the positive energy that is associated with Main at Broad,” Yarbrough said. “More importantly though, I think that this is a commitment from Scott & Stringfellow to grow with Greenville and be a part of the fabric of this community for the long term. I think that the timing is good, especially given the cautious optimism we are seeing with regard to the economy.”

Kevin Bryant, resident managing director and head of Aon’s Greenville office, said that the environmental concessions made by the builders were a draw for his company.

“It is important to our company to be responsible stewards of our environment,” Bryant said. “The innovative solar hot water heating system integrated into this space was intriguing to us. Not to mention the ample space and location, which are in line with our company’s expansion goals.”

Charles Reyner, Broker In-Charge with Windsor/Aughtry, said the Main at Broad development is leasing up quickly.

“With these two commitments, Main at Broad has reached 50% capacity after having only been open three months,” Reyner said. “We are currently in talks with several other companies and anticipate additional commitments in the near future. The connectivity between the office building, a first class restaurant and bar, the hotel and parking garage create an energetic business synergy for office tenants and their guests. We believe Main at Broad is the best location in the state of South Carolina and are confident that our tenants will reap the benefits of our first-class amenities and location.”
