Former S.C. DOT construction director is new Carolinas AGC liaison

Danny Shealy, former director of construction for the South Carolina Department of Transportation, will be the liaison for Carolinas AGC's Highway Division members to the S.C. DOT.

Shealy has a long history with CAGC's highway members and said that he is excited to continue his relationship with the South Carolina contracting community and is looking forward to regularly seeing CAGC members at all the committee meetings, Carolinas AGC said in its announcement.

Shealy has 35 years of experience at S.C. DOT as an inspector, project manager and construction engineer. He is a civil engineering graduate of the University of South Carolina.

Shealy served on the AASHTO Subcommittee on Construction from 1996 to 2008, and Carolinas AGC has honored him twice with the Build with the Best Award, in 2006 and 2010.

CAGC President and CEO Cynthia Mills said: "CAGC is fortunate that Danny is willing and available to share his talent, insight and long-term relationships with the construction industry. We are thankful to have a professional of Danny's caliber on our team as we partner with DOT to build a strong transportation infrastructure in South Carolina for the future."
