International company Cleanpart US will begin its sixth U.S. operation at the South Carolina Technology and Aviation Center.
Cleanpart Southeast plans to hire additional employees and expand the current location, which is subleased from GVD Corp., as it builds the Upstate client base. GVD Corp. began operations at SCTAC in 2010 and will be Cleanpart Southeast’s partner and first client.
“Upstate South Carolina is ideal for Cleanpart because it is a region where we can expand our core offerings and engineering services to multiple customers in the automotive, aerospace and other technical niches,” said Cleanpart CEO Chad R. Brown. “SCTAC has offered us ample, affordable space in a manufacturing-rich location to allow us to build our business quickly and efficiently.”
Cleanpart will be temporarily reassigning members from the Southbridge, Mass. facility until a local work force can be hired and trained. Contact Ken Clark at kclark@cleanpart.com for job information or business opportunities.
“Cleanpart and GVD’s expansion to SCTAC shows the confidence these two companies have in the Upstate as an ideal location for advanced technology industries,” said Jody Bryson, SCTAC president and CEO. “This new expansion announcement further emphasizes the success SCTAC has had in recruiting high-growth companies to the facility.”
Cleanpart has 11 locations world-wide and specializes in surface treatments, precision cleaning and component manufacturing.
