Newberry College announced a partnership with advanced technology company Net 3 Technology.

The company will manage all on-site IT services, and provide business continuity and data protection, according to the agreement. It also establishes a full call center operation for the College through Perceptis, which will provide constant IT help-desk support for Newberry students, faculty and staff.

Using the firm's "plan.b" program, N3T taps into Cisco's UCS, VmWare and EMC to provide an economical solution for off-site data protection. The plan provides a secure environment through automated off-site backups.

The initiative with N3T continues Newberry's recent efforts to significantly upgrade and improve the college's internal infrastructure as well as the physical environment of the campus.

"As we continue our process of strategic renewal at Newberry College, it is essential that we elevate and advance our IT function as an integral part of our operations and institutional planning," said Steven Feld, Newberry College CFO and executive vice president for administrative affairs.

Newberry College is a private, residential, co-educational, college that offers baccalaureate degrees in 24 majors, 31 minors and 27 areas of concentration. N3T is an advanced technology company that develops custom support for businesses.
