ISO Poly Films plans to hire 40

ISO Poly Films Inc. of Gray Court plans to hire around 40 employees this month.

ISO Poly produces films for the laminating, printing, coating and converting markets. It also produces films for packaging and protective film applications, such as food and beverage products, medical devices, consumer electronics, pharmaceuticals and industrial products.

ISO Poly expanded in late 2010 with an $18 million investment and 25 new jobs as demand for products continued to rise.

ISO operates a 135,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Laurens County. Jon T. McClure founded the company in 1998 in Gray Court with an initial $5 million investment.

The company has since invested $42 million for two expansions, including new film lines, a warehouse and office building and a 30,000-square-foot food and medical films facility.

In 2009, ISO formed a strategic partnership with Sigma Plastics Group to meet the growing demands for production. In 2010, the company purchased and installed its fourth film line in two years. ISO now operates a total of 11 film lines.

ISO Poly Films employs 110 full-time and part-time employees.
