Greenville-based Elliott Davis LLC said it relocated its Galax, Va. office to Richmond, Va., the state’s capital and one of its largest cities.
The accounting, tax and consulting firm has had a Virginia office since 2006. The Richmond office is led by shareholder Paul Pickett, who transitioned from the firm’s Galax office.
“As the state capital and one of the largest cities in Virginia, Richmond offers a strong, diverse business environment in which we can further build our practice,” Pickett said. “This location also allows us centralized access to our clients across the state, allowing for enhancements from both service and efficiency perspectives.”
Founded in 1925, Elliott Davis has offices across South Carolina, as well as in Georgia and North Carolina.
“We are focused on aligning our resources on markets like Richmond that provide the greatest potential for growth and sustained profitability,” said Rick Davis, firm managing shareholder for Elliott Davis. “This region also boasts numerous colleges and universities from which we can recruit top talent and continue to progress our practice.”
In addition to organic growth, Davis said he expects expansion of the office to come from lateral hiring and potential practice acquisitions.
“Our vision is to be a recognized leader in our markets. Richmond is no different for us; we have big plans here,” Davis said.
