Greenville firm develops several retail stores

Greenville-based Carolina Holdings said it constructed and opened five new Dollar General stores in South Carolina and North Carolina.

The company also has developments under way in Greenwood and Anderson.

Carolina Holdings’ new South Carolina Dollar General stores are in Greenwood and Rock Hill. It also built stores in Mount Holly, Conover and Burlington, N.C. Carolina Holdings said it continues to collaborate with Dollar General on several more new store locations in the Carolinas and elsewhere with scheduled openings over the coming months.

In Anderson, the company acquired the former Sonic on Clemson Boulevard in Anderson last year and built a retail center anchored by Chipotle Mexican Grill and Starbucks Coffee.

In Greenwood this year, Carolina Holdings built The Shops at Westwood located on the Highway 72 Bypass. The new building includes an Aspen Dental office and a Mattress Firm retail store.
