Mixed-use development planned for downtown Greenville

Charleston-based The Beach Co. plans a mixed-use development at the intersection of University Ridge and Church Street in downtown Greenville.

The Beach Co. filed a document with the city of Greenville Planning Commission requesting to build on a 12.1-acre site near Greenville County offices and across from the Next Innovation Center.

The 375-unit multifamily development would include 245 units, averaging 875 square feet, and 130 units, averaging 850 square feet. The apartments would be a mix of one, two and three bedrooms.

The plans also call for a 4,500-square-foot leasing office and clubhouse; a 10,000-square-foot retail space; a 6,000-square-foot restaurant; and on-site parking.

The filing lists Beach Equity Investments LLC as the property owner. Greenville-based Site Design Inc. is listed as the applicant.
