The board members recognized the volunteers’ time and community efforts during the three-day 2012 St. Francis Fall for Greenville held last October.

“BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina was excited to be the volunteer sponsor at the annual event,” Regional Director Jim Shew said in a news release. “Everyone who attends the festival truly enjoys Greenville’s beautiful downtown, pleasant fall weather, amazing food options from our city’s restaurants, and a warm, family friendly atmosphere. What’s even better is that the festival also gives back to local charities with net proceeds to benefit our community even more.”

This year’s festival is scheduled for Oct. 11 to 13. Nonprofit organizations or groups interested in volunteering at this year’s festival can contact Volunteer Services Coordinator Elane Fleming.

St. Francis Fall for Greenville is one of the largest street festivals in South Carolina, attracting up to 200,000 people.

The three-day festival features more than 40 Greenville restaurants, musical entertainment, culinary demonstrations, children’s rides, wine tastings, a beer garden and restaurant competitions.
