Spartanburg-based Pacolet Milliken Enterprises Inc. said it acquired a 12-story building in Rosslyn, Va., across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C.

The 108,296-square-foot office building at 1400 Wilson Blvd. overlooks the National Mall in front of the U.S. Capitol, the company said. The building is fully leased to the U.S. Department of State.

“Property in these cities is at a premium, as virtually no undeveloped or unprotected land still exists in the Washington, D.C. area,” Pacolet Milliken President Richard Webel said in a news release. “We are thrilled to own a property in such a historically and culturally significant area.”

Pacolet Milliken Enterprises is a private, family-owned investment company founded in 2007 by the shareholders of Milliken & Co. of Spartanburg.
