William C. Hubbard, a partner at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough in Columbia, on Sunday was confirmed by the American Bar Association as the association's president-elect nominee.

Hubbard's nomination was announced in the House of Delegates Monday in Dallas, where the association is holding its 2013 midyear meeting.
The house will go through the formality of confirming Hubbard as president-elect in August at its annual meeting in San Francisco, according to the ABA Journal. He will begin his one-year term as president a year later at the close of the 2014 annual meeting in Boston.
